Blue door

Blue door

Room-less ajar in a field
once bright as clear sky
faded to powder blue
torn and uncurled
as a weathered billboard
cracked and kicked by sunshine
scars pale as the tall blonde grass
hushing around it
the memory of flames

on its unhinged hinges
swings gentle as a whales tail
the crumbling frame
darkens the winds fur
brushing it backwards
as it silks through its opening
sparking as it slips
from the field
into the same field
