Movements

Movements

Your movements
gave our house a heartbeat
your dance steps
smeared across the floor
your absence
crackles like static
your silence
blooms within the walls
the breathing of moths

  1. Eerie and ethereal. Love the juxtaposition of the abandonment and fond nostalgia, here. I’ve been trying to cut away at some of my stuff to refine it like yours, but it’s not easy!

    1. Thank you Dan. Cutting away is something I’ve been trying to do for years. You have to be brutal, I always ask myself can I say this with less, or can I say this by leaving it out. Hope that makes sense, keep writing and hope you can keep making space for writing now matter how small. Warm wishes Andrew
