in the font turned firepit
at the heart of my crumbled cathedral
replaced my heartbeat

the horizon howled
snow swept the streets
you’re the moth-eaten moths of memory
the torn tapestry of my life
its seams of moonlight
scars become skin
sunlight and midnight
lines the inside
of our chests

fairy lights flickered

the ones

miss the sea glass
crumbling sunlight

pirouette upon rusted blades
across scorched streets
dissolve into the spray

wings made from buddleia petals
brains the ghosts of embers
edges still lit
threads a fuse
